*Home Stagers are trained professionals who know how to change an environment so potential buyers can see themselves living in it. I am a very practical Stager. As much as possible I work with my clients’ existing furniture and accessories. Staging is sometimes referred to as “use what you have decorating”.

*Statistics show that staged homes sell 50% faster and for 6.9% more than homes that have not been staged.

Garage/Estate Sales:

Turn your clutter into cash!!  Garage Sales are a great way to get rid of stuff that you no longer use or need. A garage sale is a favourite of collectors, bargain hunters, and the random passer-by with an idea of seeing what there is to buy at low, low prices. Having a garage sale can be fun or stressful, useful or counter-productive, profitable or costly.

There are many reasons for having a garage sale. Perhaps you want to sell all those unused "treasures" taking up space in your house. Perhaps it is to clean out the house prior to an imminent move. Perhaps you simply want to make a few extra dollars. Some people simply do it for an opportunity to meet the neighbors and do a little haggling. A garage sale is very useful at all these times and for all these reasons.

Garage sales are hard work! But knowledgeable assistance with pricing, display, advertising, and set-up can mean the difference between wasted your weekend and profitable sales.

 ADD/ADHD- Organizing Assistance

Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD or ADHD) is characterized by distractibility and difficulty in planning or completing activities, which makes it really hard to sustain a system of organization. However, it can be done!

To organize a space, the individual must be able to develop an organizational plan, devise a system of categories for organizing objects in the space, sort the objects correctly into the categories, put the objects in each category in appropriate storage containers, place the containers in a designated area, and remove or discard any object that are not needed. The individual must be able to focus on the details and continue with the task until it has been finished. Individuals with ADHD have a hard time with these executive functions, and as a result often have difficulty with organizing.

Getting and staying organized is a real challenge for many adults diagnosed with ADHD. This challenge often feels impossible to meet, resulting in the individual getting stuck in an overwhelmed state. It is possible, however, to overcome the overwhelmed feeling and effectively organize the home or office by breaking up the tasks into smaller steps and following a system for accomplishing each step.

Getting organized may help individuals:

  • Spend less time finding things
  • Be a positive role model for children
  • Reduce feeling overwhelmed
  • Be more productive in life.
  • Make more money
  • Improve their marriage/relationships
